Chickenpox Vaccine – £79 per dose, 2 doses
The vaccine is live containing weakened virus. Two doses of the vaccine provides 98% protection in children and 75% protection in adults against Chickenpox infection. In both groups, if breakthrough infection does occur, it is much milder and of a shorter duration than in those who have never been vaccinated.

The rabies vaccine is an inactivated vaccine containing dead virus. £79 per dose, 3 doses required.
Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio are contained in a single combined vaccine. The vaccine is inactivated and contains dead bacteria or virus only and is highly effective at preventing the infections. Immunity does wane over time. Therefore, further vaccinations may be required. Separate vaccines against the diseases are not available in the UK. The Department of Health does not recommend the use of the oral polio vaccine due to the potential risks associated with this live vaccine.
The combined vaccine is give in the UK childhood programme with pertussis (whooping cough) at age 2 months, 3 months and 4 months. Further booster doses are given at 3-5 years of age and again at 14 years of age.

The cholera vaccine is an oral vaccine containing inactivated cholera bacteria.Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal infection, caused by the bacteria Vibrio Cholerae. An estimated 1.3 million to 4 million causes of cholera occur per year with between 21,000 and 143,000 deaths. Outbreaks can occur in any world region, but are more prevalent in regions where access to clean water and sanitation is not available.It is important to maintain food and water hygiene at all times while travelling, particularly so, if you are carrying out voluntary work or are in remote areas.
